Privacy policy
This page explains what the site measures, what is collected when you book, by whom, and how to exercise your rights.
Person responsible for personal information
I am the person responsible for the protection of personal information: Julien Éclancher, osteopathy intern, RITMA member 11364. I practise at the Hakini clinic, 4255 Wellington Street, suite 202, Verdun, Québec H4G 1V9. Telephone: 514 824 5854.
What this site collects
The site is made of static pages: there is no form, no account, and no data is sent to any advertising network. The only collection is the audience measurement described below.
Audience measurement
I use Google Analytics to know which pages are read and where visits come from. The tool writes two cookies in your browser, _ga and _ga_PTLGTGE9J5. They hold a random identifier that recognises your browser from one visit to the next, without revealing who you are, and are kept for 13 months.
What is sent to Google on each page: the page address, the address of the page you came from, your browser language, the type of device, an approximate city derived from your IP address, which Google does not store, and the cookies’ identifier. When you click a booking button, the click is counted along with the button’s position on the page. Google’s advertising features are turned off: this data is not used for advertising or remarketing. The domains contacted are www.googletagmanager.com and google-analytics.com.
You can refuse this measurement by blocking or deleting this site’s cookies in your browser settings, or by installing the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works the same either way.
Typefaces
The pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser then contacts two of that provider’s domains, fonts.googleapis.com for the stylesheet and fonts.gstatic.com for the font files, which see your IP address as they would for any resource loaded from another domain. No further information is passed to them by this site.
Hosting is provided by GitHub Pages, which keeps technical access logs for the security and operation of its service.
Booking an appointment
Booking is handled by GOrendezvous, a separate service. When you click a booking button you leave this site, and the information you enter (name, contact details, reason for the visit if requested) is collected and stored by that provider under its own privacy notice and terms of use. That information is accessible to me as the practitioner, for managing appointments.
Your consultation record
The health information you give me during a session, together with my clinical notes, forms your record. It is stored securely, used only to follow your situation, and disclosed to nobody without your written consent, except where the law requires it. With your written consent, your record may also be shared with other professionals at the clinic. The RITMA code of ethics binds its members to professional secrecy.
Retention follows the standards applicable to record-keeping in manual therapy in Québec.
Your rights
Under the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25, you may ask for access to the information I hold about you, its correction, or its removal where keeping it is no longer justified.
Send your request by email: . You will receive an answer within thirty days. If you disagree with the outcome, you may contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
