Fees, receipts and insurance
What to know before a first visit: how long, how to pay, receipts, and the reimbursement question, which is worth a phone call to your insurer.
The session
Appointments run an hour, first consultation and follow-up alike. The first one already includes a thorough conversation about your situation, an examination, and manual work.
Part of that examination is there to check that manual work is indicated for your situation and that nothing contraindicates it. If it is not, I say so and point you elsewhere.
You stay dressed, in loose clothing. Bring your medication list and, if you have them, recent test results.
Fees and payment
Fees are shown on the booking page, when you pick your time slot. They are always current there, which avoids a stale web page announcing something other than what you will pay.
Payment is made at the end of the consultation, at the clinic. All cards are accepted. If you pay cash, please bring the exact amount.
Receipts and insurance
I issue a receipt under RITMA membership number 11364, usable with insurers who recognise that association. I do not bill insurers directly: you pay, you get your receipt, you submit it yourself.
One point matters here: my current title is osteopathy intern. Some insurers reimburse receipts issued under that title, others do not, and this depends neither on me nor on the clinic.
Before your first visit, one question to ask your insurer: do you accept receipts from an osteopathy intern in good standing with RITMA? That wording covers everything that matters. If the answer is no, you will know before paying rather than after, and it is worth asking again each year: plans change at renewal.
Cancellation
Cancellation follows the Hakini clinic’s policy, which may involve a fee. What the clinic’s own site says takes precedence over this page.
Let me know as early as you can if you cannot come, using the confirmation email GOrendezvous sends you. A slot freed early goes to someone else.
